Restaurant De Zeeuwse Kust
About This Spot
Stepping into Restaurant De Zeeuwse Kust feels like settling into a quietly cherished local treasure. Nestled in the charming surroundings of Nieuwvliet, this restaurant carries a gentle, unhurried rhythm that invites you to relax and savor the moment. The space exudes warmth through thoughtful details, where subtle touches—like the carefully curated Christmas decorations—give a glimpse of the care and attention woven into every aspect of the experience.
The atmosphere carries a familiar ease, a place where families and friends gather around tables filled with fresh, thoughtfully prepared dishes that celebrate the coastal flavors of Zeeland. The kitchen’s respect for the sea’s bounty is evident in the dishes that arrive: generous portions of mussels, delicate sea bass, or the simply delightful duo of North Sea fish, each plate a quiet nod to the local waters. For those seeking plant-based fare, the vegan options are more than an afterthought—they’re crafted with just as much intention and flavor, making sure no one leaves without a smile.
There is a generosity here in pace and spirit. The staff greet you with genuine kindness, welcoming everyone from toddlers tucking into their pizzas to guests savoring a perfectly caramelized crème brûlée. It’s a place where comfort food and culinary care meet, creating moments that feel at once familiar and pleasantly surprising. Whether it’s the casual clink of coffee cups or the subtle hum of conversation beneath the soft glow of ambient light, Restaurant De Zeeuwse Kust invites you to linger a little longer, to taste local stories with each bite and sip.

Fantastic little find. We arrived late and the staff were super accommodating fitting us in. Delicious tasty food and great service. The sea bass was cooked to perfection and packed full of flavour. The children enjoyed their pizzas and the desserts were lekker

We visited after seeing the good reviews and indeed it was really good. The food was great, the waitresses were very welcoming and kind with us and our toddler. We highly recommend it for a low key but tasteful experience where you get to eat local fresh products

Great vegan options! I got the vegan burger and vegan kroketjes and they were both delicious.

Excellent restaurant, the seafood is obviously very good in this location and they prepare it well. I tried a couple of dishes and the Scampi was easily the best. Service is very good, staff are friendly and helpful.

Maincourse: Trio of wild meat - Dessert: banana split in a peculiar way Very tastefull and every Euro worth. Very charming resto with thoughtful service. Montipulciano wine has lots of tanines but goes perfect with the meatdish. We don’t give a 5 but this was more than a 4… Thanks for the lovely evening.

The service personnel was very friendly and helpful. We did not have a reservation, but without making a big fuss we were allowed to sit in the previously closed off area. Our kids got big coloring pages to keep themselves busy while waiting. Vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. Food was definitely good value for money (don’t expect fine dining, but good, solid meals like seafood, pizza, salad and burgers) Also good to know: there is a changing table outside the toilets (so accessible for all genders) and a ramp for both wheelchairs and strollers plus a and wheelchair accessible toilet. Side note for residents of the Roompot holiday park: easy and quick access via a small path from house #271 (google maps didn’t know the newly created layout so we took a detour)

We had a great dinner experience at this lovely, family run restaurant. The food is outstanding. The scampi’s were extremely well prepared but all the dishes are good. All food made fresh from locally sourced suppliers . A special mention for the apple pie made by their Opa Piet. I can highly recommend this restaurant!
